Is it okay to clean a C-PAP machine silicone mask with Vodka?

I use it to clean everything else in the house. Will the alcohol break down the silicone? I noticed black mold in the bottom of our wastebasket from the wet paper towels my husband uses to wipe out the mask every day. Not good. I think he needs to use some type of alcohol based natural cleaner. He says it will break down the silicone.

If you use the dishwasher, DO NOT use heated drying, it could distort the mask. Better yet, just use dish soap and warm water in the sink. It will do the job and won't harm the mask. Vodka may not hurt it, but soap and water will work better because the mechanical action is what actually cleans things.
