Where is a good place to buy embroidery thread?

I would like to find a place to buy embroidery thread that is strong and has a nice sheen to it. I have purchased thread from one web site and didn't like their attitude and the way the do business. Some of the thread I have purchased in JoAnn's breaks a lot so I don't want those brands.

P.S. I don't want to pay a high price either. Some place charge over $6.00 a spool.

superiorthread.com sells lots of different threads. Everything I have tried from them has been excellent quality. They have some sample packages that are really good deals. They have a varigated emb. thread that changes colors about every inch that gaves a really neat effect.
If your thread is breaking a lot you may need a bigger needle or a different type needle.
I have also bought thread on eBay from ABC emb. designs. They sometimes have prepackaged assortments with lots of colors for excellent prices. Their new name is AnnaBove Emb. Designs. Their thread is much cheaper on eBay than on their web site.
